Written Proof of the following vaccinations is required for all guests
Cat Vaccinations:
FVRCP (booster) and Rabies
Dog Vaccinations:
DH2PP (booster),Rabies and *Bordetella *(see below) (Canine Cough)
Once we see your pets records, you only need to bring them again when your get the vaccinations updated.
* Please Note: Many Veterinarians administer the Bordetella (Canine Cough) vaccine only by request.
Bordetella is a yearly vaccination but we suggest that it be administered every 6 months for extra protection. We are not enforcing this, but it is highly recommended. Please talk to your vet or call us at the kennel with any concerns you may have.
Canine Cough is a potentially severe virus spread through the air in confined areas or dog parks etc.. Bordetella is administered two ways - Injection & Intranasal. The injection must be administered 14 days before boarding or the intranasal 3-4 days before boarding. Proof of your pet's vaccinatons are due at your first visit and whenever shots are updated. The Bordetella vaccination acts like the flu shot for humans. It is about 75% effective and there is still a chance that they can contract the virus, but usually not as severe. Feel free to open the file at the bottom of this page to find out more about canine cough
Failure to provide proof of up to date vaccinations will result in loss of your booking at Countryside Kennel. We do this for the health and safety of all pets staying in our facility.
